Binance Hit With Record $6.3 Billion Crypto Theft Across Multiple Blockchains
Binance has fallen victim to what's being characterized as the largest cryptocurrency heist on record. According to blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs, as reported by TechSpot, attackers made off with approximately $6.36 billion from the exchange's wallets spread across ten different blockchains on October 29.
The scale of the theft has prompted comparisons to major financial crimes in history. While details remain limited on how the breach occurred or how funds were subsequently moved, the incident underscores persistent security vulnerabilities facing even the largest cryptocurrency platforms. Binance, one of the world's leading crypto exchanges by trading volume, hasn't yet released an official statement detailing the extent of customer impact or recovery efforts.
